What is a Cone Beam CT Scan?
A cone beam CT scan provides our oral & maxillofacial practice state-of-the-art technology to provide more detailed and effective treatment for all our patients. The cone beam technology allows us to visualize three-dimensional detail of your jaws to help identify nerve pathways, soft tissue, and bone quality. Unlike a traditional CT machine, our cone beam CT has technology to provide clear accurate images with minimal radiation exposure.
Our new 3D scan enables us to perform a wider array of diagnoses and treatments, helping to reduce multiple trips to the office. In addition, we can tailor the image to an area of focus within the mouth to further reduce radiation exposure. This technology provides images with precise anatomical detail which enables our team to accurately diagnose, review the particulars of your case, and answer any questions you may have.
