Why is treatment of Dental Emergencies needed?

If you don’t treat an emergency, the pain and discomfort that you’re experiencing right now will get worse. Dental-related problems very rarely get better on their own. This is why we recommend coming in for adequate and prompt treatment as soon as you notice there’s a problem. What happens during the Dental Emergency appointment?

The emergency appointment begins by having you sit comfortably in one of our operatories. We then ask you about the problem you’re experiencing and when it started. We then perform an examination and take x-rays as needed. The x-rays allow us to see if there is a problem going on below the surface of your teeth and gums. We then provide you with the treatment that you need so that you can leave our office pain-free. If you have an infection, we may recommend taking antibiotics before any type of treatment is done.
