Invisalign or Clear Aligners
What is Invisalign or Clear Aligners?
Invisalign can realign and perfect the overall look of your smile. This system uses a series of clear aligners to straighten crooked or crowded teeth. Unlike traditional braces that use metal bracketing and wiring, no one will even know that you’re wearing your Invisalign. Treatment is ideal for patients of any and all ages.
Why would Invisalign or Clear Aligners be needed?
The reason you might benefit from Invisalign treatment is because your teeth are crowded, crooked or unevenly spaced. Unfortunately, not only can these issues be detrimental to your self-esteem, but they can make it hard to keep your teeth completely clean. By not being able to brush or floss properly around crowded teeth, you’re increasing your risks of developing tooth decay and gum disease. Invisalign is ideal for patients who want or need to straighten their teeth but who don’t want the world knowing about it.

Who is a candidate for Invisalign or Clear Aligners?
In order to determine if you’re a good candidate for Invisalign treatment, we’ll perform an examination on your teeth. We can take x-rays as well as impressions to create a treatment plan that is right for you. Most patients who want Invisalign can safely come in for treatment. Because the clear aligners are removable, they may not be suitable for younger children who might forget to put them back in.
What happens during Invisalign or Clear Aligner treatment?
The Invisalign treatment process always begins with a complete consultation. We get to know you and your smile. We take impressions of your teeth and use these molds to make your first set of clear aligners. You will be instructed on how and when to wear these aligners for best results. You’ll need to remove them when eating or brushing. You will then come back into the office after a few weeks to have new Invisalign aligners made for you. This process will repeat over the course of treatment as your teeth shift into place.
